FTTH Sales Executive
Job description
Optimal Fiber is hiring a talented FTTH Sales Executive who has demonstrated B2B sales success in the fiber optic cable business, keenly focused on the FTTH marketplace while also able to sell the full Optimal Fiber product portfolio which includes: splice-on pigtails, insert panels, bulk fiber optic cable, cable installation materials, splicing and testing equipment, and fiber enclosures.
This role will be responsible for promoting the Optimal Fiber product line to the market, prospecting and winning key new client opportunities and developing/executing the product strategies required to rapidly grow the business, both top and bottom line.
As your client’s needs dictate, you will assist in the execution of product strategies, product offerings, supplier negotiations, supply chain improvement, new product launches, datasheets, web content, and pricing for fiber optic products lines.
The candidate should possess specific experience in, and understanding of the technical landscape, specific technology, and product trends related to fiber optic cabling.
The ideal candidate must be versatile, with a good blend of business acumen and technical savvy, and a quick learner with the ability to manage new responsibilities in a dynamic environment.
Overview of responsibilities:
- Daily order quoting, fulfillment, and tracking
- Direct sales and client relationship management
- Manage product line by proactively presenting and promoting the Optimal Fiber solutions portfolio to target customers. Target customers are generally fiber optic installation companies, and network operators of all sizes, and strategic partners in the telecommunications industry.
- Assist in developing professional sales and marketing tools and materials.
- Attend industry conferences, trade shows, and networking groups to introduce Optimal Fiber capabilities to new targeted audiences.
- Provide technical product support to customers to identify requirements.
- Understand market trends and emerging technologies in the fiber optic industry.
- Maintain forecasting to allow collaboration with internal resources to close business and prepare our factories to efficiently meet demand once client Purchase Orders are received.
- Maximize wallet share at key account(s) via professional sales strategy
- Proactively identify product and solution gaps and define market requirements to develop new and desirable product offerings.
Location:
This role can be WFH with travel to client sites and select industry events.
Ideal home base will be near a major US city to have easy access to large client bases.
This is an uncapped commissioned sales role presenting an opportunity for a well-connected salesperson to leverage their network to earn greater compensation than in a predominantly salary role. Outstanding performing employees will be afforded the opportunity to grow into management roles.
